Burstafell (near Vopnafjörður)
Burstarfell is one of the best-preserved turf houses in Iceland. The oldest part of the farmhouses dates back to the year 1770. These farmhouses were occupied by the same family from 1532 until 1966 when the last inhabitants decided to make it into a museum. Few farmhouses of this kind are preserved today. The Burstafell Farm is in excellent condition. The museum is open daily from 10th June until 10th of September, from 10:00-18:00.

Langabúð Djúpivogur
Langabúð was built in 1790 by a Danish merchant. It now serves as a café, museum and a souvenir shop. An exhibition of the life and work of the sculptor Ríkharður Jónsson, as well as various artifacts from the area, can be found at Langabúð. It is open 1st June-1st September from 10:00 until 18:00 in weekdays and 23:30 on Weekends. The museum is open from 10:00-18:00.

Petra´s Stone Collection in Stöðvarfjörður
This museum is a spectacular collection of Icelandic rocks and minerals. In 1946, a woman named Petra started this collection, most of which were found in the East fjords, in Stöðvarfjörður and surrounding area. In 1974, Petra decided to open up her home and make it a museum. Since then, hundreds of thousands of visitors have visited. The museum is open all year round.

Sænautasel Farm
Sænautasel Farm is a restored and rebuilt turf roof farm. The original farm was ruined in 1875, when the volcano Askja erupted. A cozy traditional café now serves traditional pancakes called lummur accompanied with brown sugar or rhubarb jam. The café resembles the old days with benches and coffee served in old-fashioned coffee cups. Fresh lake trout served with potatoes can be ordered ahead. The Farm is open daily from June 1st until 31st August, from 09:00-22:00.

The Technical Museum in Seyðisfjörður
The Technical Museum focuses on technical innovations, such as electricity, communications, telephony, commerce, mechanics and architecture and how these innovations have influenced people's daily life. The museum serves also as a research center and offers teaching facilities to all levels of education. It is open all year round, from 11:00-17:00 in summertime and from 13:00-16:00 in winter.
