ATV 4 x 4 quad bikes
ATV Adventure Iceland offers several adventure tours on quad bikes. Various tours are available, from one hour tour to a fullday quad bike tour. All tours take place on the Reykjanes peninsula, with its rugged landscape, lava fields and black sandy beaches. The tours are not weather dependent and are operated all year round. Warm overalls, gloves, boots and helmets are provided.
The Blue Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon is a unique wonder. The lagoon holds six million liters of geothermal seawater that is renewed every 40 hours. Because the lagoon is an unfriendly environment for bacteria it's chlorine free. The water temperature is very comfortable, at around 37-39°C / 98-102°F. The beneficial effects on the skin from the high level of silica in the water, is well known.
There are two steam baths available, a cozy sauna, outdoor showers and a waterfall providing an excellent shoulder and neck massage. Outdoor massage and spa treatments are offered but need to be booked in advance. There are restaurants, a cafeteria and a bar as well as a shop selling skin care products and Icelandic designer clothing. It takes about 40 minutes to get to the Blue Lagoon from Reykjavik and approximately 20 minutes from the Keflavik International Airport.
