Adventure Cruise from Stykkishólmur
Sæferðir (Seatours) offers an adventure cruise on Breiðafjörður Bay. This boat tour gives an excellent opportunity to see various species of birds, such as puffins, eider ducks, kittiwakes and if lucky, a white-tailed eagle. A net is cast overboard and everybody gets a chance to taste the catch, such as scallops and different type of shellfish.The tour sails around the southern islands of Breiðafjörður bay, known for their quiet beauty. The tour is available from 15th May-15th September, at 11:00 and at 14:30 (except in May/Sept, then only at 11:00) and the duration is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Riding Tours from Lýsuhóll
Lýsuhóll offers riding tours from 1, 5 hours to day trips, according to your wishes. A 3 hour riding tour on the beaches close to Búðir is also possible. The horses are well-trained and very friendly and suitable for beginners as well as advanced riders.

Snowmobiling on Langjökull Glacier
Mountaineers of Iceland operate snowmobiles on Langjökull, the second largest glacier in Iceland. The distance from Húsafell to Langjökull is approximately 18 km. Snowmobile tours available from the mountain hut Jaki.

Snowmobiling on Snæfellsjökull Glacier
On Snæfellsjökull glacier both snowmobiles or snow cats are available. The snow cats have bench space for 20 passengers, in addition to being open, so riders can enjoy the views along the way. In many cases, both snowmobiles and snow cats are used for larger groups. The company has 12 snowmobiles plus 2 snow cats making it possible to take as many as 64 at a time on the glacier. Scheduled tours departure: 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00, 21:00 and 23:00.
